Software solution for Voice ATM:
V-Soft has developed an end-to-end, multi-channel, real-time solution for voice telephony over ATM. With ATM-SAR solution already developed for the C6415/16 platform, this covers the whole spectrum of ATM technology for voice telephony implementation on C641x series. The solution includes voice packetizing as well as voice processing (voice compression and echo cancellation) and will enable developing voice over ATM solutions on TI C64xx platform easily and quickly.
Reference design:
A major telecommunication company in Europe planned to use the nPX5700/nP7250 combination in a new design. As the devices were relatively new they decided to minimize the risk by partitioning the initial design into two test cards one containing the AMCC devices (Card 1) and the other containing the balance circuitry (Card 2).
Already familiar with the reference schematics for the 5700/7250 because of its strategic alliance with AMCC, V-Soft undertook the design and development of Card 1. The card was designed, laid out and ready in four months, in time for arrival of the new devices. When the devices were loaded on the board, it worked perfectly on first trial.
