Fax over IP:
T.38 is the worldwide standard proposed for mapping the T.30 fax on IP. T.38 uses two protocols, one for UDP, and another for TCP as well as ASN.1 encoding to ensure a standard technique. One of T.38's key benefits is that it ties to the H.323 protocol. It is the ITU-T standard for Real Time Group 3 Facsimile Communications over IP Networks.
